    Passionate about health and sport, Laura earned a Bachelor of Health Science in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from The University of Toronto. While studying at both Sheridan and U of T, Laura played varsity soccer. She knows all too well what it’s like to be sidelined with injury. Laura’s experience sustaining injuries on the field sparked her interest in injury rehabilitation.

    Throughout her post-secondary education and afterwards, Laura worked with various organizations, including Toronto FC Academy, Vancouver Whitecaps Academy, University of British Columbia varsity football and Sheridan College varsity athletics. She was also part of the medical team at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Vancouver.

    Laura has experience treating people of all abilities, including high-performance athletes. She worked in private practice for several years, focusing primarily on orthopedics. Laura continues her education through various professional courses to further her clinic knowledge and treatment techniques or strategies.

    Laura is a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. And as a Certified Athletic Therapist, she is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association and Ontario Athletic Therapy Association.

    Outside of work Laura enjoys staying active through soccer, CrossFit, running, and hiking with her family and dogs. She loves gardening, home DIY projects, travel, and spending time with her husband and two little girls.

    Shannon grew up in Bruce County participating in many community and school sports that started her journey to a career based in fitness and activity. This led her to completing a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph and then her Master of Physical Therapy at Western University. While studying at U of G, Shannon was a member of the international equestrian team, and at both U of G and Western, Shannon enjoyed playing intramural volleyball with fellow classmates.

    Shannon is eager to utilize all the knowledge she has gained to help those in the community develop personalized goals to regain function and return to the activities they love. She has an interest in orthopedic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. Shannon plans to take further educational courses to improve her skillset in various techniques, having already taken courses in acupuncture, vestibular rehabilitation, and TMJ disorders.

    Shannon is a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She is also a member of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

    In her free time, Shannon enjoys horseback riding, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family pets.

    She looks forward to working with the knowledgeable team at Walkerton Physiotherapy to provide quality care to all those in the community.

    Megan received her Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor (Movement Science Major with Co-op Distinction) prior to attending Queen’s University where she completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy.

    Megan has vast experience assessing and treating a multitude of orthopaedic injuries/conditions related to overuse, sport and post-surgery. Additionally, she can assess and treat neurological, vestibular and cardiovascular conditions. She strives to work with you towards achieving individual goals through education, exercise and evidence-based practice.

    Growing up in Bruce County has given Megan an appreciation for small-town service, but highlighted the importance of having knowledgeable healthcare support that is easily accessible within our rural communities. In order to provide a variety of treatment options Megan expands her skill set through professional courses/webinars.

    Megan is a member of both the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is a registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

    In her downtime Megan enjoys kayaking down the Saugeen River, playing with her dog and working in the flowerbeds/vegetable gardens.

    Julie’s approach to your care involves looking at the body as a whole and how injuries can relate to other areas in the body. She works to get to the root cause of your injury, instead of just treating symptoms. 

    Julie has a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor as well as a Bachelor of Health Science in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College. Julie has over 10 years of experience working with teams and athletes both as a student and Certified Athletic Therapist. She has also worked alongside staff in a long-term care home to help address and prevent workplace injuries in a health care setting.  

    Most recently, Julie has recently completed 4 years of further education to obtain a Masters in Practice of Manual Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSC) from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton. This included 4,200-hour curriculum, including 1,500 hours of hands-on training.   

    Julie is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association and OSTCAN. 

    Julie lives in Walkerton with her partner and two cats, Kevin and Missy. In her free time, she enjoys watching hockey, golfing, playing soccer and spending time with friends and family.

Kinesiologist, Marketing Lead, Fitness & Pilates Instructor

    Tristan works as an assistant in the clinic, as well as a fitness coach and personal trainer in our fitness studio, EverActive by Walkerton Physio. She has also taken on the majority of the marketing work for both Walkerton Physio and EverActive, including social media.

    Tristan earned a Bachelor of Health Science from Trent University, majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. After completing her studies, she spent time traveling through Australia and Europe, gaining valuable life experience and a broader perspective on wellness and culture.

    She is passionate about helping others improve their quality of life through movement, strength, and education. Currently studying Pilates Mat (1 & 2) and Reformer (1 & 2) courses, as well as working on her Strength and Conditioning certification, Tristan continues to expand her knowledge and skills in human movement and rehabilitation.

    Alongside her clinical interests, Tristan enjoys marketing and social media, using creative communication to inspire healthy lifestyles. She is dedicated to building a meaningful career in the health and wellness field. 

Manual Osteopath, Registered Kinesiologist

    Holly is a Manual Osteopath and Registered Kinesiologist with a special passion for supporting and treating women before, during, and after pregnancy.  Her post-secondary education journey began at Brock University where she completed an Honours Bachelor of Physical Education and Kinesiology.  She then completed a Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia, which led her to pursue teaching as she lived and travelled to different places around the world.  For the past 13 years she has been working as a Registered Kinesiologist in a variety of clinical and rehabilitative settings with individuals of all ages and abilities.  After witnessing the powerful benefits of Manual Osteopathy after her first child was born, she knew she wanted to learn more about the modality, and in 2023 Holly obtained her Diploma in Manual Osteopathic Practice from the National Academy of Osteopathy. 

    With a compassionate and holistic approach, she is excited to help expectant and new mothers navigate and manage the physical changes and challenges of motherhood, while also providing gentle, effective care for newborns and infants.  As a former teacher, she strongly believes in providing valuable education to her clients that can help empower them to achieve their health goals, prepare for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.  By addressing musculoskeletal imbalances and promoting optimal function, Holly aims to enhance comfort, mobility, and overall well-being for both mother and baby.

    Outside of work, Holly enjoys learning, travelling, being active, and spending time with her family.  She looks forward to serving her community by utilizing her education, expertise, and skills to help others achieve their optimal mobility and highest quality of life.

    Calyx Auger is a Registered Massage Therapist who is passionate about helping people feel their best and move with confidence. After completing a 2,200-hour program at Vicars School of Massage Therapy, including over 400 hours of clinical experience, she is excited to begin her career helping clients reach their health and wellness goals.

    Having danced for 18 years and now spending much of her free time strength training, doing Pilates, and running, Calyx understands the physical demands that everyday life, sports, and exercise can place on the body. Through her own experiences with recovery and injury prevention, she has developed a strong appreciation for the role massage therapy can play in keeping the body feeling and functioning at its best.

    Calyx believes that every person is unique and that treatment should reflect that. Her goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where clients feel heard and receive care tailored to their individual needs. Whether you are dealing with pain, recovering from an injury, or as a part of your wellness routine, she looks forward to being part of your journey.

    Chelsea is a mumma to three kiddos under five and is passionate about all things health and wellness.

    As an eating disorder warrior, Chelsea once found ways to punish her body through movement and food (or lack thereof), and has committed to continuous work for herself, and her clients, to find joy and privilege in the abilities our bodies have, instead of punishing them for "gains".

    She started her journey in 2009 after graduating as an R.H.N from The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Toronto, Chelsea then studied Health Sciences at Georgian College in Barrie. After that, Chelsea moved to Dubai and completed her M.Sc at Middlesex University in the UK.

    While completing her Masters, Chelsea found a love for Pilates, and in 2018 completed her Certified Pilates Instructor training through Pilates Moves Australia and her Certified TRX Instructor training.

    Having worked at Pilates studies in Dubai, Toronto and Brampton, offering Physio-Pilates, Chelsea has extensive knowledge and experience with pre- and post-natal Pilates, sports injuries, chronic pain and conditions, as well as physical disabilities from youths to seniors.

    Chelsea's goal is to help people find joy in movement, and to support her clients on their health and wellness journey, meeting them where they're at and guiding them to where they want to be.

    Melissa is our part-time receptionist you’ll get to see most Thursdays and Fridays at the clinic.

    Melissa has a big passion for fitness and all things health and wellness related.  Her past includes personal training and fitness instructing for many years, followed by working in a hospital setting.  After the pandemic she took some time to spend at home with her young family.  She lives outside of Hanover with her husband and three adorable children.  

    Outside of work, Melissa spends her time chasing her kids and hanging out with her family, nieces and nephews.  She also loves working out at the local CrossFit gym, training for mini TriAthlons, and the odd Half-Marathon.

    Karin is our receptionist and the first person you’ll see when entering the clinic.

    Having worked in the healthcare and service sector for many years, Karen loves helping her community.

    Karin is from the Netherlands and emigrated to Canada in 1990. Karin and her husband enjoy life on their farm southeast of Elmwood. Together they have five children and Laura is one of them!

    When she’s not working, Karin enjoys being outside, puttering in her gardens and going for hikes and walks with the family dog. She loves music and above all, spending time with her family.

    A graduate from the massage therapy program at Medix College, Sabina has been practising for eight years in Walkerton. Clients return to Sabina again and again for her expertise in deep tissue massage, cupping and various other soft tissue release techniques.

    Ashleigh earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a specialization in Health Sciences from Trent University, and holds a post-graduate certificate in Clinical Research from Seneca College.

    She has many years experience lifeguarding and teaching aquatic exercise programs, and she is Walkerton Physio's pool rehab instructor and Aquafit coach.

    She enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors with her dog, volunteering with local service clubs in Walkerton, and continuing to expand her knowledge through lifelong learning.
